This is a huge sculpture that's out on the street in the financial district.
Here's Kathy in front of it and me being reflected in the shiny surface of the disk.
Walter and Danny on the Brooklyn Bridge.

We walked to the center of the bridge. This picture is facing east.

...and this one is facing west (back toward Manhattan). Then, at Walter's request, we walked on all the way across into Brooklyn. This bridge is very important as far as engineering and bridge building are concerned because it was the first of its kind. It was finished in 1883 and was built mostly by hand.

Kathy took this picture as proof that we walked all the way across. Then it was probably another half mile or so to get the rest of the way off of the bridge and to a subway station to bring us back across.

Goofy Danny on the subway headed back to the hotel. We were all exhausted by this point and very footsore.

W & K on the same subway. It was hard to get a good picture because it was moving and jiggling. We sure were happy to be back on it, though. Joe elected not to take this trip with us, so that's why he's not in any of the pictures. He went shopping instead.
Excellent job on the blog, Danny. It appears that you made the most of your visit to the Big Apple, and that Walter and Kathy enjoyed it too.
